On February 9, 2014 SM Prime Holdings Inc., owner-operators

 of SM Megamall across the country, will construct a 5-hectare Megamall and recreation center in Cagayan Valley Diversion Road in Santiago City, Isabela soon 

City Mayor Amelita Navarro said she has negotiated with officials of the SM Prime Holdings, and  company owner Henry Sy is "very eager"to make the city as the newest SM Megamall. 

If fully realized this multimillion peso business venter will be a blessing for Santiago City folks in terms of business boom and employment opportunties," she said. 

The contactors are now cleaning the site before construction starts. 

The new mall SM Megamall Santiago will have three level of first commercial space that would house a food court, entertainment zone, recreation area parking spaces.

The area used to be the government-foreclosed Cagayan Valley Diversion Road in Santiago City, Isabela 

It is in front of the P250-million integrated transport terminal and commercial center that is now in operation.

They are raring to put up one in Cagayan Valley, and this city was the area they have chosen because of its proximity to the provinces and for being primary commercial area in the region, Navarro said. 

The city is accessile from the province of Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Cagayan
